Audiopipe AP3000.1D... trying to get some answers

I think there are a few people on here with AP3000.1Ds.

I've got one bought. Its not here yet.

I've got some questions. I've been trying to find out what the max size wire you can fit into the speaker terminals. 8 gauge?

The power inputs are 0 gauge, right?

Are they fused?

Not fused Yes 1/0 is the Power and Ground input size

8 gauge is the speaker terminals size
Thanks!

I asked tech support that and they told me it was 0 gauge power inputs (I was just checking) but he didn't tell me what size the speaker terminals were, even though I asked.

I bought mine used. I forgot to check if it comes with the bass remote though.

I have #1 welding cable for my wire, 50ft of it.

Should I go with 0/1 or what?

someone explain to me how u get 3000 watts from this amp, it can't rms. with a 200 amp fuses , if so that's gotta be the best amp ever. other amps regardless of price with 200-250 amp fusing don't come close, i've seen the birthsheet of the fosgate bd2000 it did about 2900 watts and it has a 250 amp fuse.

Don't stress it, Corrie.

I had the same issue. AP15001D's have 100 amp fuses, yet I was drawing nearly 100 amps at 2 ohms... Just choose your fusing accordingly. I'm at 50% higher fusing (150 amp).

Depending on your ohm load, drop in the smallest fuse that will handle the power you're pulling. Forget the recommended value, in this case.

You will never see over 200 amps on music. 200 amp fuse is just fine, Hell if you are worried just buy a 300 amp fuse. Problem solved! But yes, it does 3000 watts at 13.8 and about 3100 if you can keep voltage at 14.4.
