Planet Audio BB2400?? Ive seen it is it worth considering? Tell me some reviews/opinions. I'm really open to anything that is decent power to cost ratio.

Thanks for all the input guys! I'm going to sell the AP amp when I can and get a good 2500 watt amp most likely the SS. As far as getting a different subwoofer that would be stupid because I just bought a brand new Skar ZVX-15 1500 rms and I'm not going to sell it. I'm already at 145 db. I went from an Addictive Audio V3 to this and it's a huge improvement in every way. As far as getting a bigger box I say good luck fitting anything bigger than what I have in a 2004 civic sedan trunk. I am going to instal a 180 amp alt after the winter but my voltage never drops below 12.8 volts so it's not a dire need. Please don't bash on me I'm not talking trash on any of you I just want some friendly input that's all. Thanks everyone for posting.

And yes, there are ways around sub efficiency, just as you are wanting to do..Sub efficiency can deceive you, if the box is not designed to utilize it. If you are pulling 12.8 right now....you better plan on a H.O. alty before doubling up power, or you will likely be sub shopping after all...especially shopping around for cheap amps like you are.

i personally dont like the 2400s but for the price its hard to beat other than the db drive pd2000.1

The rubicons aren't bad amps at all they are just power hungry especially below 1 ohm. Personally I would look for a used AQ2200 first you can find them for around 300 shipped

id recommend this amp over all the ones mentioned., just my opinion

The alt will be taken care of soon enough lets disregard that and stick to the topic. Assume I have good electrical and I need a good amp to feed this sub. And I wont clip my subwoofer if thats what your suggesting it's called adjusting gains I can do that. And If I blow the sub so what Ill buy a recone Ive done 1 before on an addictive audio v3 15 and it was perfect. I don't want to do this I just want a good amp that's all.

I'm running at exactly 1 ohm no less. And power consumption won't matter I'm getting a HO alt soon enough.

im sure most people will agree treat it well(feed it). i will do about that power. ive seen plenty of threads from people clamping and doing drop in test, the highest 1 ohm clamp ive seen is 2473rms @ 1.6 ohm after rise, on 12.3v...... @catman; benched his at 2.4 ohm i believe and his was doing way over the 2 ohm rms rating

also keep in mind this is pretty low voltage. the best ive seen out it is 3k or alittle over but he had a beefy electrical system
