id recommend this amp over all the ones mentioned., just my opinioni personally dont like the 2400s but for the price its hard to beat other than the db drive pd2000.1
The alt will be taken care of soon enough lets disregard that and stick to the topic. Assume I have good electrical and I need a good amp to feed this sub. And I wont clip my subwoofer if thats what your suggesting it's called adjusting gains I can do that. And If I blow the sub so what Ill buy a recone Ive done 1 before on an addictive audio v3 15 and it was perfect. I don't want to do this I just want a good amp that's all.12.8 *****. No trash talking, just car audio, brah. And yes, there are ways around sub efficiency, just as you are wanting to do..Sub efficiency can deceive you, if the box is not designed to utilize it. If you are pulling 12.8 right now....you better plan on a H.O. alty before doubling up power, or you will likely be sub shopping after all...especially shopping around for cheap amps like you are.
I'm looking for 2400 to 2600 rms 2000 won't cut it. I'm not saying it's a bad amp just not practical.and audiosavings.com has a db drive pd2000.1 right now for $240 shipped

allrighty then....u get that electrical straightened out, do some homework on amps and get back to us then..I'm running at exactly 1 ohm no less. And power consumption won't matter I'm getting a HO alt soon enough.
that amp was rated 2k at 12v, iirc...wayy underrated....I like those, and amps like the Crossfires, B2's, DD, etc rated at 12valso keep in mind this is pretty low voltage. the best ive seen out it is 3k or alittle over but he had a beefy electrical system
yea i know. the amps are beast. thats what i was trying to explain to OP. he said he needs more then 2k. but i guess he is underestimating the db drivethat amp was rated 2k at 12v, iirc...wayy underrated....I like those, and amps like the Crossfires, B2's, DD, etc rated at 12v
too bad most of us cannot afford to shop based on 12v ratings and the doubling of power gains as impedance drops..those are the expensive amps.
lolpopcorn sounds:yumyum:
I thought you loved the APboth are junk but id go ss because ap just ***** harder than a 5$ hooker outside of wal-mart
also just seen another guy clamp his doing 2400rms @ 1.9ohms on 12.9v.... the amps only rated for 1000rms @ 2 ohm if that doesnt let you know this amp is serious idk what willHelp me out I don't know if I should go for another audiopipe 1800 and strap them or get another amp entirely. I'm powering a skar audio ZVX-15 Dual 2 Ohm 1500 rms subwoofer 3" VC. Box around 4 cubes tuned to 40 hz. I was looking at the Soundstream 2500.1 but my buddy says to go big like a 4k amp. I'm a little skeptical to do this due to electrical issues with a honda civic. I have 2 batteries including a 1200 amp 120 amp hr battery for backup. Electrical is an issue due to stock alt. Can I go 4k big? Or should I stick to my plan with the rub2500? If I strap the AP I'm most likely looking at 2.5k anyway for only another 190 bucks, unclipped power. I like the AP but I know it sees nowhere neer 1800 more like 1200 unclipped at 12 volts. Budget it around 300 bucks.
wait....u say the Rubi is junk but then say dont count out the BB....are u ****** kidding medont rule out the bb2400
i have yet to see more than 1600 out of a rubi but the bbs do 18+ could just be the people using them. i know SS and Pa are the same company i just know the ones ive clamped and have seen clamped all do different .the kid needs somthing cheap bb's are like 200 shipped and the same company as sswait....u say the Rubi is junk but then say dont count out the BB....are u ****** kidding me
