When I was looking at some monoblock amps, I noticed that it came with a remote subwoofer level switch. Does an Audiopipe 1500w monoblock sub amp come with one?

And

I am running this amp through two Alpine Type R 4 Ohm subs. Will this overpower them as they are 500w RMS each? If I ran the Audiopipe 1500 on them, they are getting 750w RMS. Is that bad for the subs?

Yes, it comes with a remote sub level.

Type R's will take 750 easy, as long as you know what you are doing (which no offense, but it doesn't sound like you do).

Give them a clean 750, and they'll love it. Two type R's off 750 each will pound.

No offense taken. And what do I need to know to make them take 750 easy? Just a way to wire them?

It means having the gains set correctly, and having every option set to the right levels, and etc.

Do you know how to set the gains with a DMM? If not, search on the forums. Set them to 600-700, and you'll get some good sound out of them.

DMM? I have seen gain knobs and everything. How do I make it clean? I guess I'll have to have somebody physically help me with that. And what does it mean when a box is "tuned" to 33hz or 41hz. Is it the way that the box is made?

digital multimeter. Get one for around 20 bucks at wally world. Yes the tuning is the way a ported box is made. I would say around 4.5 cubic foot box tuned to 34hz would be nice for those Type Rs. I have the same amp btw, and one Type R, and love it!

Ok. Thanks. I want to throw those Type Rs in a ported box, but I want to make it look cool. I'm gonna throw some led pods in the ports and run them through a sound controller to make them flash with the bass. I think that it would look pretty cool.

Edit: I noticed you play Xbox Live. Gears 2 is where it's at. I have like 10750 gamerscore so that makes me feel a bit like a nerd.

I only play Halo 3 and Uno basically on that account. My other account has like 9k gamerscore or something.

1. Set your gains with a DMM (digital multimeter). There are plenty of tutorials on how to do so on here and around the internet (JL has one).

2. Don't buy a prefab box. Make your own...have someone on here design you one. What your box is tuned to will essentially determine how your sub will sound and where it will be loudest.

Yes it comes with a bass knob. I have the same amp and love it. And its not hard to set the gains with a multimeter. It seems like it might be a little power hungry. My voltage drops to like 13.0 and 12.9 on long notes, and I have a small kinetik battery.

I too have this amp. It has a volume knob. At "MAX" the volume isn't changed, but at "MIN" it quiets the signal immensely.

Set the gain using an AC voltmeter. Play a 60 Hz tone, with headunit up 3/4. Connect the voltmeter's + and - to the speaker terminals (with no speaker hooked up). Fiddle with the gain until the AC voltage is 35-37 V.

If this is too much, go to a shop, and they can do it for cheap.
