Audiocontrol question

I just got an Audiocontrol Epicenter & LC6 and they both require their own power, ground, and remote connections. How exactly does that work out since the amp has a power ground and remote already? I'm having the shop do it anyways but I'm curious as to how that works.

What do you mean how does it work? They need there own power. Run a small ga. power and ground from a D-block to the unit.

That's what I said //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Yeah I know. I was just making sure it was the same thing even using the LC6 because I ended up getting the LC6 anyways. Thanks

So do I need one D block or two? I want to have everything I need before I go into the shop.

I'd use a single distro block. The wire for these preamp devices only needs to carry ~1-3amps...18gauge should be fine. When i had this and an external crossover, i simply twisted 2 18ga wires together with the power wire that was going to my amplifier and shoved them into the same receptable on the distribution block - 2 were twisted into the positive wire and 2 into the ground - one for the epicenter +/- and one for the x-over's +/-

Like so. I drew in the remote wiring from the HU as i remember you asked about that also. Red = Positive wiring, Black = Negative wiring, Blue = Remote wire.

do you guys like your audiocontrol units, does it make real difference compare to other eq's and crossovers? i had all audiocontrol units, and the sounds still were not great, then i switched back to my ppi equipments and now it sound like the way it should. just wanted to get some feedback from others who use audiocontrol.

There is nothing wrong with the quality of the AudioControl units. They lack the features of some other brands but their signal quality is renowned.
