AudioControl Processors.....

I have been doing some reading and I want to know if iPods' really cancel out alot of bass like some companies claim they do. I use an iPod and I personally didn't notice any difference between a CD and the iPod when it came to the low end.

My other question is does the AudioControl Epicenter really add more "bass" to your system? Kinda confused about the whole thing.

The newer iPods are better at covering the entire freq range on the headphone output, I never had a problem with my older video iPod using the dock connector.

What the Epicenter does is takes a full range signal and adds sub harmonic content. It's basically a signal driver synthesizer. Lets say that the song you're playing has content at 60 and 80 hz but nothing below that. The Epicenter would add content at 30hz based on the 60hz content and at 40hz based on the 80hz content. It doesn't make your bass any louder (only more power, more or bigger subs or a different box can do that) but it will add low frequencies where there weren't any.
