Audiocontrol Matrix?

I have an Eclipse CD7000, an Audio control DQXS, and of course an amp and speakers. When level matching, I cannot achieve an optimized input signal (optimized lights do not come on) into my DQXS even with the input controls set at full, then to get the output to a resonable voltage, the outputs need to be at 3/4. My amp(AUDISON LRX6.9)'s gains are about 1/4 on. If I used a line driver like an AUDIOCONTROL MATRIX, would I realize an audible benefit in my SQ system?

Could you tell me what it does, I've been trying to find out but havent had much luck. When it came time for me to decide on buying it, I just went for it.

It amplifies the signal coming from your HU and presents the amp with a healthy louder signal. Then the amp gains can be set to a minimum reduceing noise at high playing levels.

I just never had a "clear" definition of what it would do other than the shop that installed it, and that's exactly what they said.

What I should have said, is that I had no other definition other than the one from the shop, and I always like to make sure and check with a forum on what is, or is not the truth about a product that I had little forst hand knowledge about.
