Audiobanh n a Stang Possible?

Well I will say this, you've got some work to do, and I owned an 04 GT, a little different from yours, but still a royal pain in the *** I'll give ya that, the trunk opening just doesnt help

If you go and look at your stang, measure it out and make sure what what was said is true, that it will fit, then contact someone on the forums who can do plans, PV Audio or Moe Lester or someone like that, if they still do it, can draw you up GREAT plans to go by for only like 10 bucks maybe a few less, I dont know prices anymore, and it's well worth it just not to have ot mess with it

There's others on here too, dont get me wrong, just gotta look

IonSQL is going to build my box for my civic as soon as I get up the cash :)

So i take it you have built a box for a stang b4. so your telling me to remove the mach 460 system from the back of the trunk along with the amps and build the box from there. afterwards put the 6x9s back into the rear of the car and run a HPF??? and about tuning the speakers to a certain hz how xactly is this done? doesnt he size of the port have to be a certain length n width? im new to this kinda stuff and id rather do it all myself than bringing it to a shop where they will charge me a Grand plus for there work. comment pleasee
if you want a box that big, you have to remove the mach 460 components in the trunk. they will severly limit what you can stick back there. in most cases, you can only silde a long box in the trunk through th eback seat anyway, those trunks are gay. dont pu 6x9's in the rear deck. i think they are 5.25"s anyway back there. i took mine out and ran it open. i only ran fronts in my 98 cobra.

that should hit 300 db's.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

CHROMMMMEE:bowdown:

well i have benn playing around with boxes in stangs but no audiobahns.

i can tell you that a nice single setup with 2..5 cubes would be nice.

i don't know how much space you want to give up , but i know you can at least fit a 13.5 inches hig,(14 max without cutting). 37 wide is the most i have had, and the wall is the limit for depth, hope this helps - joe

will my subwoofers take place of these 5.25 mach speakers if i want the sub box ported to get a more clear sounding sound? or will i notice a difference?

id like to see a photo or 2 so i can get a feeling of what someones setup in a stang may look like. i would like to have the subs facing the back seats so it knocks hard while im driving. the amps i am picturing maybe have them in the back on a slight angle near each taillight facing you when the trunk is opened.

im going to have it where the box can be taken out at times b/c i kno for a fact this is goin to be adding a good 200lbs to the rear of my car. and i do like goin to the track once n awhile.

Relocate the amps. Just Dish the tray. And to tune the box make the port go all the way back to 6" from the back wall then have a board that runs about 8-10" parallel to the back and use something to make the corner 45 degrees. like so.

And yea I used to have a 97 stang that I did this setup in.

Ohh and you people need to stop flaming because dude's got audiobahn. Those are not bad subs and I'd put money on it that if he does this install right he'd be a hell of a lot louder then half you people flaming. If he asked for comments on Audiobahn then give them if he's asking for help help him or stfu.

really didn't take alot of pictures. but i can proboly digup some, gimmie a sec.

i can tell you now, with a descent system, if the sub faces the trunk, it will be loud, but the trunk ratttle outside will be nasty,

my suggestion is to face the subs inward like you said, but make sure you do your best to seal the face of it from the trunk,

it will quiet the trunk ratteling a hell of a lot

you can fit something taller than that, i got quite a bit out of my old stang.

ive always heard good things about audiobahn. ive had this system sittin in my closet now for about 2 years and havnt had the money or the time to put these in the back of the trunk. but i think this is the year to go about doin it.

theres a good 2000$ into these subs n amps when i bought them brand new years ago i dont know why people be hatin on me.

so your saying get rid of the plastic subwoofer box that came stock with the car n keep the 6'' speakers in the car minus the box? they will still function properly minus the little bit of bass i was gettting....?

correct...... and no hate to break it to you audiobahn is pretty shitty, BUT the subs you got are one of the best two lines they make and they ARE good (not great) subs.

As for the amps I'd be careful,I fired a A18001DT doing nothing wrong when I had that and two aw1206T's in my stang. If you wanna travel to Ohio I'll set it all up perfectly for you. If not I'll try to help you out as much as I can.

i agree... they are not horrible subs.....those and the immortals are....decent, ofcourse you can do much better for $2000... much better (i bet you the chrome probably cost more than the actualy sub parts lol). But if you like physical apperance and bling, you cant beat audiobahn:naughty: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif anyways, i would be really careful with the gains for the amps...i've seen some go up in flames from powering sony xplodes lol...

P.S search audiobahn in any car audio forum, it'll be an eye opening experience lol

i might have to take u up on that offer next spring once i get her outta the garage. so u do this kinda stuff for a living or how do u know so much about it?

im prolly going to find time this weekend to take the plastic box outta the car. u guys said to leave the stock speakers in the back they will still function but not with the little bit of bass that was coming from it.
