would a pair of 12" natural sound SE series subs be good for someone who is just getting into car audio and has anyone heard or had experince with them? thanks. also what would be a good amp to hook them up to? and i no audiobahn sucks. thanks again

go with some alpine type s or even type r's there not that much, you could also try some of pioneers stuff there good for the price

i would go re re series subs or a single image dynamics id12. heck for that matter if price wasnt that big of deal a memphis m3 is a nice woofer to mess with too. you can kinda play with different boxxes and get excellant results from either end of the spectrum. and an ascendant audio atlas is pretty good too

memphis pr series are really good, and can take more than the rated 200-250rms....also the pioneer 305dc is good.

I would assume because th thread is about audiobahn products smart guy. and alot of people on here dont like audiobahn just because they dont like the sound or build quality or the fact that they have more chrome then a harley. every person likes different things and everybodys choice in sound is different

yup just make sure your box doesnt leak. big diff in performance with/without leaks not that bad when set up good

Try them out, if you like them then use them. If not, sell them, and get something different.

i just heard a pair of them today hooked up to a Lanzar R-series amp (dont know what power ratings are) but they sounded decent. In a medium sealed box (something like 3 cubes or so.). The output was ok but not great... The SE's would more than likely be louder if installed correct tho.

cool thanx... It sucks that JL is the only equipment you can find in stores to listen too. Buying over the internet sound unheard is a stressful thing when trying to build a system. But then again... that is how I bought my CDT ES 643s and no complaints there.
