i was looking at getting a few audiobahn AW1505 subs but cant find much info on them. Has anyone run these or seen these run and how do they perform?

I used to run Audiobahn before I seriously started to research about car audio. Most people will tell you they sound like crap. I myself had 2 1505 15's on a 1600 watt Audiobahn amp back in 2000 and it banged to say the least. Since it was so long ago, I don't know how they would stack up against the monsters of today. I've owned the AW1505's, Awt15x, Awt1506T, and AWT1508T's. The old 1505's are rated at 1000wRms.

I ran the 1206 model and instlled a few of the 1505's.Really not that bad.

ok. a guy around me is selling 4 of them for 200. 2 of them have bad surrounds and 2 are good. how are the motors on these? would it be worth it to recone the 2 bad ones?

Believe it or not, 1505 motors were produced by TC sounds, so yes, the motors are good.

if the 2 working subs are in good condition, 200 isn't a rip off. not sure how much a recone for the other 2 would cost, but if you break it down and say the bad subs are worth 10$ per sub, then you're paying 90$ per sub for the 2 good subs. not a bad deal.

I ran a pair of the 1206t for about 2 years on 600rms each. They did their job. I'm a SPL guy so it sounded good to me. See if he'll do $150 and then work from there.

yeah i got him to 175 so i think i can get 150 for them. im gonna meet up with him tomorrow and throw them in an old box and see how they sound

I had a 1505 not long ago, and it was actually a beast, but the 1000watts rms rating isn't acurate. It took about 800 daily and was just as loud or louder than my Treo SSI. It didn't sound as good, but for 180, you can't expect too much. I still have the motor and was thinking of reconing it with better parts
