Set the DMM to AC and put the probes on the speaker terminals.im tryin to test for volts
Sony is crap as well... I would actually rather run Audiobahn than Sony when it comes to car audio.i had that sony xplod amp (1200) on 2 old skool comp kickers and they kick harder than what i got now. I sold the amp but i still got the kickers
Because you have reached the full clipped output capability of the amps. Remember they can't produce a lot of power. They are over rated and you will find them easy to clip.naw i was trying to test my ground, cuz when i turn my radio pass 30 with the loud on, the subs doesn't go any higher just the music inside the car.
How would reading volts help test your ground?naw i was trying to test my ground, cuz when i turn my radio pass 30 with the loud on, the subs doesn't go any higher just the music inside the car.
Um... ill take "NO" for $500, alex.Set the DMM to AC and put the probes on the speaker terminals.
And I hope you're not testing the AC current for a output measurment...
Good luck getting more than 300 clean watts out of those amps.
Re read what he said. He said set it to AC on the OUTPUT terminals. He is correct. If he wanted to test for voltage at the power/ground terminals then he'd use the DC setting.Um... ill take "NO" for $500, alex.
If youre testing any electrical system in the car, set it to DC volts... AC is like you fin din your house, and the DMM's i use are very particular about that. If you try to test either the wrong way, it blows a fuse inside the DMM.
lol you burned him goodRe read what he said. He said set it to AC on the OUTPUT terminals. He is correct. If he wanted to test for voltage at the power/ground terminals then he'd use the DC setting.
