I've either been very lucky or just simply spoiled b/c a 6 week turnaround on warranty repair/replacement is so far beyond reasonable to me I'd be fuming mad after a month had passed - much less longer. The last piece of car audio gear I had to have repaired under warranty was a Kenwood KDC-X569 that I sold to a friend when I bought the X679 I use now. The 569 quit reading CDs not long after I sold it but was still within the two-year Kenwood warranty. It had been purchased originally from
Crutchfield so I called 'em up, got an RMA #, stuck it in a box and sent it to them (and they picked up the tab on the shipping both ways). Less than two weeks later it arrived in working order on my doorstep.
