Dual 4 ohm voice coil subs. The left side of the sub contains a + and - for one voice coil, the right side of the sub contains a + and - for the other voice coil. The reason there are two + and two - on each side is for having extra terminals to configure the two voice coils in series or parallel.
You want the voice coils in parallel so dual 4 Ohm divided by two equals 2 ohm. Run a + and - wire to a sub. Plug both of them in on one side of the sub, + wire to + input, - wire to -i nput. Then use a couple 8" wires and run from + on one side to + on the other and - from one side to - on the other. Dont worry about having a pair of empty + and - terminals on the side oposite of where the original + and - came in. So basically the power comes in one side of the speaker, and there it splits and you use the extra jacks to go to the oposite side. Do this for both subs, they will each be 2 ohms, wire these in parallel at your amp to give you 1 ohm.
If you want only one pair of wires going to your amp, run this pair to one one side of one sub, and keep using short lengths of wire to "daisy chain" all the positives together by jumping from one terminal to the next, to the next sub, then to the last terminal. Just keep all your +'s together and all your -'s together. Cross a couple up by mistake and short your amp.
If you run these audiobahns at 1ohm, theres no way to run your type r with them without another amp, at least not any correct way.
