Just get two and install them right, they'll do just fine. Besides using 3 subs will put you in a tougher competition class in most sanctions... Have fun.

Oh, and earlier someone said the DD 9512D gets loud, is the 9512E supposed to be louder?

if you are looking at two or three, remember the power you have to push to them and the electrical system you have to run everything

2 xxx fifteens will get loud as hell. if you power them right and put them in big ported boxes you will win some spl comps. watch your electrical system though. I think with three xxx 15"s... you do not know what youre getting into.

i dont think i stressed enough how **** loud 2 xxx 15"s can get. spl has just as much or more to do with the installation than with the speakers and power

Well i'm gonna be running a 200a alternator with 1 or 2 extra batteries. I think i'm going to go with 2 subs, should be plenty of power for two of them. I was actually thinking of going with a sealed enclosure, I think I like how the bass sounds a little better in sealed, what do you all think would be a better box? Just had a minor set-back in $$$ though, ****** went in car and it's costing me over a G, probably gonna have to wait till mid-January to start purchasing now because I also have to worry about x-mas shopping. Oh well. Let me know your opinion on the box!

I have never heard the audiobahn sub but I did have a Kicker 12L7 and that ***** gave out in less than a month. I replaced it with a JL Audio 10w3 and I haven't had any problems. I'm using an Earthquake PA2300 1150X1 rms

Ur amp made that kicker sub blow. Earthquake amps are not good 4 daily use.

a dub 3 with 1150 watts. wow. you havent smoked that thing yet. i wouldnt expect it to last more than a week.

I use my Earthquake PA2300 every day with no problems , I need another ! Those are really good amps.
