Just wondering if anyone has any personal expierience with the Audiobahn brand of subs and amps and if so what are your opinions on it.

I was originally going to go with JL Audio, but it's so freakin expensive!

If i was to go with Audiobahn, what do you think would replace the 8w7? or 10w6v2 in the Audiobahn line?

Originally was goin to run 4 of either these subs in a custom made fiberglass enclosure made to fit my wheel well, but the cost for equipment alone would exceed $2k.

So seriously considering alternatives.

Volume is limited, trying to save as much trunk space as possible.

I have 2.5-3.5(with floor raised) in volume to work with.

Audiobahn is nice aestheticly, but i don't know much of its real world performance.

Thanks in Advance

I purchased two 15s in a mdf w/fiberglass window box and had it running for about one month until the left sub blew. Then I ripped it off and boxed just the one. About a week later the sub stopped functioning..... arg....

I got this

Eahh.. audiobahn is cheap and loud but sounds crappy doing it. Even with a pristine install the quality of sound is still sub-par. They are purely focused on loudness and astetics. THey are great for 16yr olds who like to ride at 5mph in neighborhoods at 11pm....

There is not a single audiobahn driver that can compete with a W7 on both facets of loudness and quality.

If you new into the scene...stick around a bit before you buy anything and you'll quickly get a lesson on quality/price equipment.

I'll start off

ED A series, RE XXX, Incriminator Audio Lethal Injections (or Death Penaltys ... more spl than SQ)

first off i would like to say that my friend has 2 12" flame q subs and around 1200rms to each in a sealed box in his truck and they sound awsome and get ****in loud. He now has 2 12" hx2 with the same power and the audiobahns walk all over them and sound better.

I heard a setup with 1 Audiobahn flame 12", it had 2 inch surround and was about 50lbs, and with a bunch of power to it, it was nowhere near as loud and sounded like crap compared to my Eclipse Titanium.

Also a friend had an Audiobahn amp that broke...

Also I think their products are ugly... chrome... flames...

i currently have 2 Audiobahn ALUMQs, with an Audiobahn A2200HCT amp, and it has really good SQ, but the SPL sucks dick, so i am selling those, and getting 2 12" Eclipse Titaniums, in a cut-cab (blow through) box. Audiobahn is an mediocre company that puts too much time and effort into looks, and then squeezes the best they can into the fancy shells.

My friend just got one of these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3071913717&category=50570

he said he'd heard someone said u could "slam wattage on them.. up to 800 watts" on that sub i just posted.. i didn't say anything but i was thinking he was crazy..

i've heard that series of subs aint too bad compared to some of their lines, its got the aluminum vc

btw that sub is goin in a reg cab truck with a box about ummm 7" deep where its at, and its about 1cf in all. how will that sound? he's gonna put an audiobahn amp, i don't know why he's turned into such an audiobahn freak all of the sudden, he's always saying they are really great for the price..

what u think about that sub and do you agree with my friends opinion of audiobahn?

What about the AWT34X??? That oughta rival the loudness eh???

Well considering it is 34 inches, yes most likely. But that was the worst argument for audiobahn i've ever heard. Lets compare a 6 inch sub to a 15, i bet the 15 can win!!! anyway, he said loudness and quality, not or, and i can assure that 34 inch beast does not sound pretty, though it probably will do a number to your hearing.

Here's my two cents:
Crystal - CMP, CMPX2

Stryke Audio - AV

Onyx - LSM

Adire - Brahma, Shiva, Tempest

Stereo Integrity Magnum D2
AMAZING suggestions, i couldn't agree more! stick around here and learn some stuff about caraudio. Stay away from audiobahn. What is ur total budget on subs/amp/box??? we can help ya out and make sure ya do it right the first time. peace
