I was wonder if a 2300 watt rms and 4600 watt max amp with a 8 farad capacitor would power and make the 12'' solo x kicker with 2500rms and 5000 watts max hit hard?

That 4600 is for 2 amps strapped...but the 2400watts @ 1ohm should do nicely

But why do u need a 8 farad cap?

the 8 farad is to help juice the amp a little and keep the battery from dieing so **** fast also the lights dim when playing the capacitor makes them stay bright

no, it doesnt. minus the sub its fairly crappy equipment... i would look into a kicker amp, or maybe orion, rockford, hell, even hifonics...

agreed and x2 on the gay, but man you dont need a cap. you need the big 3 done, and that will help out so much more then a cap. with that cap you are hurting your car, not helping. electrical section> top of the page> big 3 sticky> answer to your problems.

i have had my a2200hct for like 5 or 6 years now, they were made before the big sellout to circuit city and best buy, the older stuff is pretty solid
