just picked one of these up today from craigslist for 175

thought it was a good deal

heard it on a pair of jl w7 10's at 1.5 ohms (giving ea sub 600 rms) and it was ungodly

anyone have experience w/ these amps?

i heard they are very power hungry..

any input would be great, or what would the compare to?

and what could i sell it or trade it for?

very power hungry, i have an a2200hct (next year up) and i have beat it to death and never shut off or got hot, not the normal audiobahhn garbage

you have to understand its a 2ch class ab amp that does 1600w at 1ohm, its gonna need juice

yea my bud had it on his fukcin t3 tss at 1 ohm w/ 4 ga wire at full tilt and he never got many voltage drops

but all the reviews say they take gobs of power

its not a bad looking amp

ghey because the stroker was in a box about 2 cubes too small, just shit i had sittin around and threw in the car

i had the hcx but when i had it in my truck with 4 12's the seal for the back window cracked and leaked and got the amp wet, so I sent it back to Audiobahn and they just sent me the next year up. Actually at one time Audiobahn did have good customer support, like in 02 lol
