If you don't want to watch the video, the amp goes into protect as soon as it powers on. One random LED does not light up fully, but lightly flashes a rhythm. The protection LED also flashes this same rhythm, and the speaker hooked up to the amp also plays a note in sync with the two lights. Three other LED's on the amp fully power on and do not blink with the speaker/protection light.

Ideas?

I do not plan on spending any money on it... just found the amp out in my shed and was trying to get it to work again.

If anyone has any ideas on things I can try myself, please feel free to suggest them.

Just found a blown resistor.

If I go to radioshack and buy a matching resistor then solder it back in place, could that solve the problem, or would it just blow again due to other reasons?

Do you know how to test the power supply and output transistors and the gate resistors with the DMM ?
Not particularly... However I tend to be good at picking things up quickly. If you can give me a little advice on where to start/what to do I can probably get it done.
