Audiobahn 15" Immortal sub vs. ???

i ran one of those immortal 12s a while ago and it was loud in my trunk car, but nothing compared to my DD 9917.

You think stuff like that is loud and say it must be hitting 140s, 150s. But you honestly probably have no idea how loud 140 is, much less 150.

Something to outbeat 2 Immortal 15s would be an 18 RE MT, DD 9917, 18 Fi BTL, 2 15" Type Rs.... the list is rather long and goes on and on. This assumes you power these subs appropriately. But yeah, those immortals can get loud, but they also have little sound quality.

Conclusion:

As far as getting loud goes - Many subs > audiobahn immortals

uhmmmm...you mean a DD 1508 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
hah im getting a DD 1508 in my truck's center console, i'll be sure to post pics once it happens!!!! Eh, a DD anything really. . . .

Yea me too.....before I heard other stuff.
I used to have other stuff...and now am running the High Excursions. I went from a IDMax to them. I have used the Type Rs...I like the High Excursions better. I have used kicker Comps...High Excursions are better. The Cerwin Vega Vegas I had are probably the only subs that got louder than these and sounded good still. The IDMax would sound great...but was not that loud...and then the voice coil went to crap on it. Staying away from Image Dynamics now.

well im sure each given proper enclosures an immortal would give a 1500 a run for its money... but ive only heard the 1500/9500 series and never really an immortal ... i just remeber hearing alot of hooplah about the immortals because they were designed by someone that knew what they were doing and in a completly different buildhouse and were basically another company's high end spl sub with an audiobahn logo on it

ya, I finally realized the quality of Audiobahn's products after standing by them for 3+ years and getting NO support from them.. I really like the way Alpine is looking but I've honestly never heard of DD or anything... I'll have to check into that. I want something that will pound hard and still sound good and not cost me my first born....

fi btl, or audioque hd3 would fit the bill nicely

if you would like to sacrifice your first born however, you could hop on the dd bandwagon and get yourself a nice 9500... however once you go dd, you never go back //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

I have no experience with the Immortals but I did have the Aluminum one's which sounded and performed decently but of course they blew on me (each one was hooked up to a 1000w Lightning Audio Strike Series amp) then I got the VC2 Strike Series subs and they blew those audiobahns away and sounded better doing it and cost less.
