i cant route the power wire grrr!!! pleeeease help!

ok i have been looking forever taking apart my truck and can't find where to route my 1awg power wire through the firewall into the truck and its really starting to tick me off because all i want to do is put my germaniums into the truck but can't get the stupid power wire to the amp.....

there is rubber grommet hole on the drivers side but i can't find where that leads to no light comes out 1 side or the other i looked underneath the dash/steering wheel part and there is a ton of wires and stuff but no light when shined through the hole

ive got some pics can somebody please help its on an 07 silverado

sometimes it's easier to start from the inside. instead of trying to shine a flashlight through the grommets, use a coat hanger or something to poke through, so you can see it on the other side. there may be a place to go through on the passenger side too, if you peel back the carpet in the footwell.

There is a massive rubber grommet on the Drivers side under the dash that you can cut a slit through to run your wire. You can also just drill your own hole as there is lots of room on the firewall to make your hole. This is not a hard truck to run wire on, just take another look.

yea i had to drill a hole for my 8 ga for my old system. im installin0ga tomorrow and im gonna just make thehole bigger

I ran my 1/0 under my car. To much of a pain to go through the car for me. Before everyone freaks out, I ran it in pipe. I am an electricain by trade, so one day on the job I bent some pipe . Fits real nice.

when i had a system in my dodge truck i went through the grommet that the steering column goes through right by the pedals..

no dice i found a way i could route it on the passenger side by drilling a hole but the place i would need to drill the hole is unreachable and then i realized that my rainbow tweets are going to need to be mounted/customized somewhere and they won't fit in the stock locations which i won't be able to do without screwing something up so ill be taking it to a guys shop that i have known for a while and im sure they'll do it for cheap but its still gonna cost something so wutever i guess

my brother is getting his dodge 2500 done right now at the same place (Broadway Auto Glass & Customs in indiana) i think its gonna have a custom console through the back with either three 12s or 2 15's all memphis subs and amps and he is having is focal k2ps mounted i think the guy is also doing a custom pod to mount them higher in the door too im sure itll be sick ill post pics when he picks it up should be wednesday or thursday and ill drop my truck off
