It's whatever wire you have hooked up to the positive leads on your sub. There is no "designated" (+) (-) wire. Until it is designated by you. Ya follow me?

 
oh so I could use the black for positive if I wanted to?

and also about actually connecting the wire to the terminal cup I have, to I just wrap it around it and electrical tape it?

it really just dictates which direction the sub moves

Some subs have "designated" positives and negatives just to make wiring an ease and less confusion

If i remember correctly those are direct lead subs..>

Your gonna wanna get some crips and use the attachment that your terminal cup has on it.

crimp that to the direct leads

or solder the wires directly to the terminal...

i would avoid just wrapping and taping as it gets pretty violent in the box....
