Audio System "Crashes" - No Music (No control)/Turns Off/On

Hello everyone! New member, fyi and not well versed in the world of cars.

I drive a 1994 Honda Accord EX (4-Door).

Audio system: Pioneer DEH-7300BT

When I first got the car a year ago, the audio system worked pretty well, but as time went along ( a few months into having the car), it started to not work. After a good 30 minutes or so of driving, the audio system "crashes" (for lack of a better word). The music stops, but "PIONEER" still runs across the bar. None of the buttons or controls work as well. For it to work again, I literally need to turn off the car, wait a while (hours), and the cycle begins again.

Recently, I have seen the system do what was described above still, but simply turn off and turn on. At this point, I just bring a speaker with me to listen to music, but I would really like to get the system up and running again.

What seems to be the problem? Are there any simple fixes?

I am taking my car to one of the local car audio stores, but I would love to tackle the problem and get any information right now. Many thanks in advance!

sounds like corroded connections are the best first step

trace the wires coming from the battery and alternator and make sure theyre clean and sanded down to bare metal. then go check behind the headunit for loose wires and bad connections.

it sounds like poor connections somewhere in the line
