Ok so i finally pieced together my audio system 4 my 1977 Cadillac Coupe Deville, i'm looking for someone in the Richmond VA area that can install this stuff in my car without "BEATING" up my pockets. i went to 3 different shops around here and the cheapest i was quoted was $1800. So any leads would be greatly appreciated. and also let me know what u think of my gear. thanks

price depends on what you want done and what you want it to look like. that many component speakers in a classic car says you want all custom fiberglass pods - those are gonna be $300/pr.

if you want the trunk to look good and custom, there is a lot of work in that.

how do you plan on connecting 4 different speaker types (8 speakers) to six amplifier channels? why did you get 4", 5.25", and 6" component speakers? you don't have any processing to make them worth while.

This is what I would do:

Run the 4" and 6.5" up front in a 3-way configuration (hopefully you have enough crossovers on the orion amps). One tweeter low next to kick mounted 4" and door mounted 6". Then locate the second tweeter at the apillars for stage height.

Then run the 5.25" comp set in the rear doors for rear passengers - aim the rear tweeters back so you can't hear them from the front seat..

Locate the coax in the trunk lid, on a switch so the amp that powers the rear comp set can instead power the coax when the trunk is open (for showing off and playing to a parking lot)

Get the 15" mounted so it plays through the rear deck only - sealed or ported - you'll get a hatchback effect off the rear glass. Try to keep bass out of the trunk and keep it in the cabin. Make a plexi window that allows the sub to be visible from the trunk for show.

I liked the FNX and HX2 speakers/subs.

thanks for the input (very helpfull) i got the 4" to mount in place of the 4x6's (that i hate) in the dash. plus it didnt hurt that i got all the Rockford Fanatic speakers for the low price of a $100 ( all brand new)
