Audio Cutting Out??

I have a JVC car stereo in my jeep that shuts the audio off after about 2 - 3 minutes of use. I pull the stereo out after it shuts down and the heat sink on the side of the unit is very hot. I went back and checked the Power and Ground. The one Power is straight to the battery with #12 wire. The other Power is going to the Acc. port in the fuse box with #12 wire. The ground I ran to 2 places on the chassis. I also check to make sure the battery is grounded to the chassis as well. I pulled the JVC stereo out of my truck and slid it in my jeep, after 2 - 3 minutes it shut down too. The stereo in my Jeep works fine in my Truck?

I have unplugged the speakers a pair at a time and it continues to shut down the sound.

OK . . . Amp has seperate power and ground. AMP is for subwoofers and I dont have the rca leads plugged into the reciever right now. I unplugged them because I was having problems. Reciever has Power to Battery(clock and presets), Power to Acc. (normal Power), Ground, Speaker leads (Front L&R, Rear L&R). I bought a new roll of Monster wire and ran all new speaker leads. I still have the problem of the reciever shuting the audio off after a couple minutes?

The speaker sound ok when audio is on, but could one of them be bad and still sound good? I slid the reciever into my truck again just to make sure it still worked. The reciever works great in my truck. I slid it back into my jeep and the audio shuts off after a couple of minutes and the heat sink gets real hot. It shuts off faster the more volume I turn up??

No, I have one speaker per lead. The Front two speakers are stock jeep speakers. The Back two are RF two ways.

I have run many different things through my head . . . Low voltage drawing more amps, but It does it with the jeep running? I just can't figure this one out .. . unless a speaker is bad??

UPDATE:

Four New Speakers and two rolls of monster wire later with no help to my problem I found out what was messing up my receiver. I was plugging the plastic connector back into the back of the receiver and I found a crack in the plastic connector plug between the speaker leads. It was just enough to collect feedback and over heat the receiver. You could not see the crack unless you looked real hard.

Thank to all of you who helped to fix my proplem!
