audio control SPL meter ?

usually the AC reads 6-7 dB over the Term Lab.

Dont use a hand held noise meter. They are junk. They read on a weighted scale and can be 10-30 dB low and usually top out at 130.

Does the audiocontrol have a suction cup mic that goes on the window? or a mic that sets on the dash? Theres a shop around here that has a meter, but im not sure which style the audiocontrol is...

I think that would be the Term-Lab.

The unit says audiocontrol and has a red digital read out, but the mic looks something like a Term Lab, and a buddy had it read LOWER than what he got on an actual TL at a show (138.8 AC vs 140.9 TL with 2 Type R's on 2kw). I did a 148.8 on this mic, im not sure how accurate it is to the TL tho... but hopefully it is 2db lower //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

There is a suction cup holder for the AC mics. There is also a stand.

If someone has the Term Lab they will know it. It's not even a mic. Its a sensor in a small black box with two small suction cups.

Also, mic systems like the AC have to be calibrated. So if its not calibrated correctlt, there is not telling how much it differs from the TL
that is what ive seen from this mic in prior runs and sh!tty systems getting 145+, but this time after the owner calibrating it and comparing my friends 138.8 vs 140.9 on the real TL sealed up, exact song, nothing changed makes me think its calibrated below what the TL reads idk... Nothing was changed from his run to mine, maybe its reading 1 to 2db lower //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

That is definitely possible here.

You just have to go by each individual meter.

True, there will be a TL around her next weekend at a show/comp locally, we'll see how it goes down.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
