which analyst? the pistons have 4-5 players they can run at shaq. they can also put hamilton, prince, and hunter on wade. the pistons also have a huge mis-match when wade guards prince. miami had the pistons down last year and couldn't put them away. they had the lead late in game 7 and couldn't get it done. shaq is not a go-to player late in games.

They had an injured dwayne wade in case you don't remember. Prince a mismatch? For who? He's no scoring threat. If anyone on that team can score it's Chauncey and Rip. Shaq is the most dominant player in the league, he's there to get your better players in foul trouble. He doesn't have to be the go to guy, that's what wade is for.

second round new jersey- kidd banged up

conference finals indiana- jermaine o'neal banged up

nba finals lakers- for some reason after beating up the spurs and t'wolves, who were considered better teams then detroit, then all of a sudden play 5 bad games in a row with 4 future hall of famers

2005:

second round indiana- ron artest gone, o'neal (gee again, what a puss)

conference finals miami- wade and shaq banged up

when your team looses you can go ahead and make excuses if you want to. i never mention the fact that billups had a sprained ankle in the 2003 series against new jersey, or rasheed had plantar flasicitis during the championship year, or that richard hamilton had a strained calf last year.

if you don't see prince as a scoring threat you better watch more piston games. when wade is prince, prince will abuse him in the post. no way will wade be able to contain prince. also the pistons have 5 legitimate offensive scorers. mcdyess on miami would likely be the starter over haslem. also shaq has yet to beat detroit in the playoffs. as for foul trouble, detroit can run ben, rasheed, mcdyess, dale davis, and hell even kelvin cato at him
