How's it effect the sound of it? Does it sound as good as it does unsealed? I'm not sure what exactly sealing it does, other then making it louder. Does it diminish SQ or increase it?

I think it enhanced it. I really think it sounds more responsive at lower volume levels.

Ah good to know then. I'm going for a daily system and listen to a lot of rock/acoustic/electronic music and I like some SQ with my stuff. Not too much of course, but everything is nice in moderation.

ive always had just street beaters all in the 135-142 range

so now im building a more spl type of box (not saying thats all yours is for, really im just tuning higher than 30 hz for once)

but i will make plugs for the port so i can jam my songs i screw

gonna build this soon

I can't take all the credit. Egg (SPL140.2) Sold me these Nice Woofas! He also gave me his box he had in the Neon to get me started. I continued on his design which was a stardard Lport. relatively loud... prob one of the loudest in my town... 2 X JBL W10GTi sealed, dont remember tuning. 1 X JBL\Crown BPX1100.1 wired at 1.5 ohms. 0\1 guage cabling in a 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo SS
