ATTN db-r (reguarding mosfets on audiopipe ap30001d) I have the numbers

so whats the performance difference of the upgrades and price please. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

LOL. After I get my hands on one and experiment then I can tell you.

Yeah, I think these are prime candidates for "beefing" since they are under 200V and use all N-Channel outputs there is a wide array of mosfets that can swap in place of the IRF640N's and also, the power supply depending on how much current the transformers will take, and the rectifiers (which can be upgraded too), should be able to be upgraded as well. Just depends on the transformers, those are gonig to be the limiting factor.

By beefing up are you referring to running at lower ohm loads, or more power. or both?

LOL, if I do end up doing it, it's not going to be cheap, and If there is any custom circuit mods for the protect circuits or anything it will include surface mount soldering which is not something that everyone can do. Especially people with big *** fingers.... so you would have to send it here to be done basically, and like I said, not going to be cheap. It's more to satisfy my curiousity than anything else... The excess current might even burn the PCB in half....

lol.

I have no problems with mine. If I can get more performance out of them and still stay under what other amps in the same power range cost then I'm fine. They do exactly what I need them to do. I would like them to be ran down to 1 ohm bridged daily. I will try them out on burps soon.

So I can have some evil scheming for the weekend,

What are the candidates for FET swapping, in place of the IRF640N's?

I'd gladly help with the experiment (*chants of "Sacrifice!" in the background*), and don't have "sausage fingers" for surface-mount parts. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
