About my sig, I rarely post outside of the lounge so you have nothing to worry about there.I'm not naming names here. I really am trying to be constructive, not a whiner. But some of the mods provide good information at times and then on the next post they flame someone. Doesn't make sense to me. I also realize that I'm a little too old for this crowd but I think some sort of professionalism needs to be enforced outside of the lounge. After all, you do need to sell ads to stay in business. I love logging into the forum and seeing someones thread deleted with the explanation "read the rules ***" when "read the rules" would have sufficed.
I have to agree with Mr Savage about the masked links. I shouldn't be in this forum at work but sometimes I am and I don't need to be redirected to another site that's blocked on my work server when I think I'm clicking on a legitimate link. In fact, I don't need that at home either.
Post dumping? As far as I'm concerned it's not post dumping if you can provide a legitimate link to a better price online. Nor is it post dumping when you point out a something shady in a sellers pics, or past selling experience. A recent posting for a Termlab comes to mind: The seller listed a Termlab USB and someone noticed that the pics included a power supply and called the OP out on it. Sometimes the needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few, or the one. To some this would be post dumping, to me this was a question that needed to be asked. This is just my opinion obviously.
And sir, I think your sig back up my other points. It doesn't seem appropriate for anything outside of the lounge. But again, just my opinion.
Also about the price thing, if you have a problem with the sellers price, send him the link via pm and negotiate with him.
I keep hearing the same song and dance about how the system of electing mods is bad, but when people get called out on it, I get a generic answer like you just posted.
