I didnt own a 1993 Park Avenue, but I did have a Buick Lesabre from the same year, and I know they were similar cars. The Lesabre had something like 15 or 20 screws to remove to get to the radio. Its been a few years but heres what I remember,

Remove that long strip of fake woodgrain, should pop off.

You should see most of the screws you need to take off. There are more under the edge of the bottom of the dash, (3) in the Glove box, and (1) in each AC vent, (4 total). There are also (3) under the flap that overhangs the instrument cluster.

Thats all I remember off the top of my head, I hope that helps some. I hated taking the HU out of that car lol, took me forever to find the hidden screws in the AC vents.

my wife has a 96 and ran into a similar problem. before anything take a flat head screw driver and lift the ac vents up a little and pull them out to reveal more hidden screws. if you dont they will snap the tabs off especially on an older car like these. but yeah it was a beesh to get a new deck in there. youll see there are quite a bit of screws and if its anything like mine the entire dash panel comes off from door to door. teh trickiest part is around the steering column and shift lever. do you have a pic of the interior??

Did a 95 Buick laSabre and yep you are correct sir that is how you would remove the dash.

Also forgot, there are (4) screws under the dash after you remove the ash tray.

I truly hated installing a HU in that car, took forever to remove all those screws. At least until I bought a drill. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
