So I was planning on a simple install but since I won't be buying speakers till mid January I decided I would consider doing a more complex install. So my car is very strangely wired with two amps, 13speakers, and its a mess. Front 3.5s I want to replace, 6.5 midrange doors I want to replace. So I was going to bridge my amp and run just my new 6.5s off the amp. I have my 5channel amp already and my sub. This is my plan:

1. Tap into the front 3.5 speaker wires send to channel 1 of LC6i

2. Tap signal wires before stock amp1 for 6.5s and run them to channel 2 on LC6i

3. Tap signals from stock amp2 to channel 3 for sub.

Thats the easy part. I have never used anything like the LC6i so I'm not sure what comes next. Off each channel from the LC6i run RCAs to my amp. Channel 1 on the amp would be the front 3.5s, channel 2 on amp would be doors speakers, then channel 3 to sub channel on amp.

So help me here, I have a 5channel amp. The manual says that its 70wx4 at 14.4v.....so 12v will be like 65wx4? I was thinking of some ID x65 midranges in the doors and some HAT L3 3.5" up front. Is that enough power for them? I'd rather more but I dont want to buy another amp and deal with wiring that too when I'm dropping more money on the speakers and LC6i. So help me out. Do I have this wired correctly in my head?

My brain hurts just looking at those diagrams. It's late so if anyone sees a problem with either of those, please feel free to chime in!

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
