I remember a magazine i read stated that atomic 2200.1 put out only 1500 w rms...i was looking into the 3000.1 and 5000.1 models, do they do well above rated output and how effecient are these...

Out of their whole line up, the 2200.1 Zenon boards didn't do rated power when put to the test, and that's with any company that had the 2200.1 (RD, Atomic...). You can see the old 1800.1 from Atomic previous to the 2200.1 is built a lot better, but you pay more:greedy: . I have this[the 2200.1] amp and it sure is powerful, but it's no MOJO. But the 3000.1, 5000.1, 7000.1...etc all do rated power, built much different as well. sundown uses the same boards also made by zenon (imported from korea ?) as does RD audio and Atomic.

As he stated the 2200.1 was an overrated board and you would be much worthwhile getting the 1800.1d

However the new line of amps are drastically underrated.

They provide some power testing and you can expect similar performance out of the other company's that use the zenon boards
