ATOMIC APXX vs DD 95

I 've been told the APXX is just SPL woofer. and i found after buying it. Its an amazing sub.

SQL for sure.

I had 2x 2512a before the APXX. and i was thinking they have a good SQ. But after playing with the APXX. i like it more than the DD's

Also compared to DD 1510's . its even better. and ofcourse LOUDER.

anyone agree or disagree .

I tried my APXX 12" on the same Setup of my friend's DD 9512 and it sounds better.

maybe the Low's is better at the DD. but in General i liked the ATOMIC

Plus; the APXX does n't need a ton of Power. I am powering it only by JBL Crown BPX2200.1 . Parallel mode. and BTW; Great SQ of the JBL amp. Thanks Crown

You've got some bombazz equipment man! I LOVE the Crown JBL's! Always wanted one.

I've got an APX-18. I can't really evaluate it since mine has non-Atomic softparts. But still, it's an awesome sub. People say that you need to feed it power, but they couldn't be farther from the truth. The sub has an efficiency rating of 94db, which may be at 1 watt or 2.3 watts, but it's still a damn good rating for what it is. The first time I ran it off my MMats d500.1, I almost puked after 15 minutes with it o_O

Maybe I had a weak stomache, idk. Still though, a great subwoofer. And I think it's way out of DD's league as far as output goes, because it can handle probably twice as much daily and even more for burps. I figured the DD would have better SQ, however...

Tried the Bridged mode but did n't like it, cuz my sub is D 1.3ohm and the JBL liked the Parallel mode.

so its almost 2kw

it will get louder for sure. but i am happy with it for now.

Cuz i only have 2x1800 Kinetik's and Stock ALT 140A

Was making the hatch of my Saab hop off a T1001bd, crappy run of 4ga, stock battery, no big 3. And that was a HEAVY ASS TRUNK, ask Geoff. Hydraulic struts were shot, and it had a lot of glass given that it was a hatch, and glass aint light.

It was in an 8cft box tuned to 28hz, internally braced and double baffled on the sub-loaded wall. Sub facing forward, port up (I know, but it was the only option). To be honest, the sound quality wasn't half bad, but again it was non-Atomic soft parts.

Yes, there was a ground loop, and lots of tinsel lead slap (not as bad in person as it was in the video). Super ghetto setup, I know. All the way down to 1hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Whenever I had to hold it up I wanted to kill myself.... True story

i was thinking the same. DD has a good SQ. but u don't know until you try others.I used to own alot of DD's and like them so much. But for now. my best is ATOMIC.

and with the JBL .. Great Combo
