Prove this please. Because I seriously doubt it.

I JUST got done testing a 3.5 vs a D5 and the DC got smoked.

I'm going to vote for Atomic. I like DC and all, but me and Atomic have some history. Even the bad parts.

I miss the 7000.1.

its also not stronger then the 4500d, clamp showed the dc being i believe 20w more then the saz, thats simply production variance...I feel that it is more accurate to state that all power outputs are roughly equal

People put way too much stock into that one clamp vid of the 5k, 4500 and 500.1. Just eyeballing the gain setting isn't the most accurate way to do a comparison test.

IMO all these 5Ks are about the same.... like you would really notice a less than 10% difference in output once your @ 5K? Even chasing 10ths it would be minimal and very probably how each performed to whatever actual impedence you are driving would probably make more difference than some 'clamp' number done under dubious controlls and at an input voltage, impedence, and frequency that isn't identical to your application.

I have been told by a few people who really know about amp design/repair that the Sundown 4500 is particularly reliable. If I were going to buy a Korean 5K that would be my first choice merely for the reliability.

all about the same, may be a little varriance, but nothing huge.

price and company history would be my first priority. id lean towards the sa 4.5k versus DC, i hear alot of DC needing repair.

Atomic ive yet to deal with.

are you refering to the new or old Atomic 5k, Atomic was going to start making there own amplifiers , instead of using Zenon, I know there is a new version of the 1k,1.6k,3k,5k,and they are now making a 12k , I know the new 1.6k has made in the USA stamped right on the front cause i'm lookin at it right now.

usually the older Atomics were a little more eff. than some of the other Zenon amps , but have no experince with the DC so I couldn't say one way or the other

There really isnt enough difference between the 2 to notice a difference in the real world.... both are a little under rated, can take punishment, and can push down to .5 on good electrical... really comes down to cost, and what you can find. /Thread
