assistance please

my amp has built in lpf. not sure what hz it is. has EQ knob and FREQ knob, both of which i have all the way down atm. i turned it up a little this morning, and there's an improvement for sure. also, has no SSF but has a compression circuit??

1. Setting the LP Hz is vital for a sub. Find out what it is and set it appropriately.

2. If the EQ knob shows negative on one side, positive on the other, and zero in the middle, set it to zero!!!!

3. Did I link the correct model install sheet?

look at #2 on page 4 of the manual
ThunderEQ is just MTX's fancy name for Bass Boost. It states in the specs that your amp has a variable LP filter, but doesn't show it or state how to set it. WTF?!?!?! I've seen toilet paper that's provided more info than this manual.

 
the eq should be the whole way down, the frequency should be just a little above 40hz, thats the crossover frequency, that will get you around 80 or so. Yea MTX sucks for that, they dont have any markings as to what frequency you are really at.

Ah, so it's an "always on" LP XO. That's what I was confused on.
