Quick, which one would you choose?

First a little background: I live in Chile so my amp variety is scarse...everything is filled with sony, lanzar, etc brands, and the good stuff is at least 2-3 times more expensive then in the states.

I just bought a kicker L7 and I need an amp to push it, and all the amps for sale here are at least $1200 for the 750rms needed.

Now I found 2 used ones and I dont know which I should get:

Rockford Fosgate 851S, capable of 850rms x1 at 1ohm or 215 rms x2 at 4ohm

Genesis Series III Competition, capable of 500rms x1 at 1ohm

I know Genesis is a very good brand, hand built in England and stuff. I will probably never run the sub at full power, so I have to decide to either get an amp that can push 100%+ or a quality one that can almost do the job :p

The Genesis comes factory rated at 640, which is good enough for me. The RF's are almost always underrated so I guess it might reach 1000rms someday.

I can get both at the same price, what would you do in this situation?

I was thinking that...plus its going to power just a sub so I dont think I would really notice that much of a difference in quality, since the kicker is more of a SPL sub.

RF then I guess //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thats box dependant.

ive never owned any kicker subs, but from what i see everyone saying about them , they can sound pretty decent in the right enclosure and get loud as shit too.

I think in that situation I would choose the RF amp as well. Not sure of the specs on the Genesis amp, but I would think the RF would offer more flexibility if you were in need of powerering some components or something. Also if you were to resell it or something I would think you would have a better chance selling the RF unit as it is probably more widely known.

I vote RF, enjoy
