he was tellin me about a couple of his setups he had using these 8's. sick shit.

i got around to cutting the pieces for the box today. i have to recut a piece or two, but the other pieces came out **** straight.

i had to stand at home depot today for like 20 mins cause they hace 2 pieces of 3/4 mdf left and they wree banged up. long story short i got two 2x4ft sheets for 3.88 each , normally theyre 6.88. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

but tomorrow the box will be complete mos def.

i had just spoke to chad from AA. great guy. ima do that design from thier site. he said its tuned to 40hz. but after that 8's big *** magnet itll drop to around 34-chec36hz. so ima k that out and see whats up. he was saying he had up in numerous setups (3-ways crossed at 120hz) and they slammed through the sub freq's.

that is correct.

I don't think that he was talking about the tuning of the box decreasing, but rather the usable output range of the box. 34-35Hz is about he half power point of my setup which is tuned to ~38Hz.

piece are being re-cut today to assure a good seal. then starts the glueing.

i used elmers carpenter glue last box but i decided to give titebond II a try. seems a bit runny though. we'll see.

got the back side glued and being clamped now. i keep seeing boxes with a painted port, is this for any reason or just cosmetics?

this is my first ported box build, is there any tips i could use?
