what power? what box?

i think the assassin's would have better SQ and can hit just as hard (but i don't have much experience with the L5's).

i've got dual assassin 12's in 3.5ft^3 ported to 32Hz with 400W to each, and i've heard the L5's in the kicker preloaded box with 400W to each and my setup OWNS the kicker box! but i think that box is undersized and tuned real high. they L5's seemed to totally lack SQ and impact, but on some of the longer notes they seemed pretty loud.

i'd try an assassin for $90 you'd be amazed by their output (and they actually have SQ!).

my L5's are loud as hell. I don't know about the ones you heard.

well, i heard them in the kicker prefab that's tuned to 40Hz or something like that.

bass had no impact and just droned on and on.

but i'm sure, if set up right, and given enough power, they can pound.

Yea they pound pretty well with the power i have goin to them. They are only in a sealed box right now but they pound pretty hard.
