Ascendant Audio Carbon Fiber Mids!

Okay sometime this week I will be taking out my DLS components and selling them. I plan on running a nice active system, going to take advantage of my headunit. Okay after researching and looking around, I saw the AA Carbon Fiber mids but couldn't fine much info about them, but did check out some vids and they look pretty awesome. I want a good mid to give me decent bass, since i will not be running a sub!

As far as tweeters go, I might go with the Morel MDT12, want something natural and not too bright! Found a vendor to sell me the AA Carbon Mids for $140 new shipped, but are they worth it? How do they compare to other mids around the same price?

i had a pair before they did their big move with SSA some time ago. ive never hooked them up but sold them to Duke on this forum. he said they sound excellent. build quality looked great.

Think I paid $220 shipped for 2 pairs, so see if he'll come down on the price some.

Seas Neo is a solid tweeter to pair up with them or the Vifa XT25 assuming you can get them on-axis.

Ill see if he can negotiate, btw I will need your help Mike, gonna need some rings fabricated and mids mounted. I wanted to trim the door panel and have the mid showing, since i think that is the only way it will work. Also a few pointers on tuning! Well i got some spacers, but they need a bottom plate so they can screw on the door. Last shop who worked on my car hacked up my doors, so the spacer wont work. Either way i will need help lol

neo magnet is pretty small though, so mounting shouldn't be a problem.

let me know when you plan to do them and I can make em fit for ya.

Hope to finish up Koopa's all by the end of this week then working on Sabor's car, so I'm tied up for a few weeks.

gotta hot glue down the tinsel leads though otherwise you get tinsel slap. Had the same issue with my polys, but it's a 5min fix...

If you can break away from the house for a bit you're welcome to come up and hear them...

iirc , when i spoke to one of the guys at AA , they were planning on on tying them down. not sure if they did or not , but you can always do that yourself.

well I was told they didn't have that problem, but obviously that wasn't the case as they did. Simple fix though...

so tell me what should i cross these at?

for the fronts and rears i can do the cutoff anywhere from 1.6 to 16khz, i was thinking to start from the mid 50's?
