Hey guys, I'm new here (Made an introduction thread just a little bit ago). I am about to order my second JL 10w3v3 sub and would like to know what amp you guys recommend to power both of these. I decided that I am going to wire these down to 1 ohm and I know that they take 500RMS with no problem (My current one does). I found a JL J2-1000.1 Amp for $300 but I wasn't sure if you guys would have any better value suggestions. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

What is the voice coil configuration on your 10w3v3 sub? IIRC they are either Single 4 ohm or single 2 ohm, so your choices are 1 or 4 ohms with a pair of 10w3v3-2 subs OR 2/8 ohms with a pair of 10w3v3-4 subs.

I completely forgot that these are 1 voice coil! Im so glad you said something! In that case I would wire it does to 1 ohm. Sorry for that, I am so use to my first sub that had two voice coils that I say this one has two as well.

JL can be expensive, luckily I got these subs for half off and bought the amp (Well the current amp) used from a friend so I didn't do too bad. Unfortunately the amp just isn't enough for 2 of these subs and I was looking at another JL amp but it is like $300 after a price break and I was just looking for other alternatives that would be comparable to it without as big of a price.
