Trying to settle the disput over the one off sub he sent me
so basically am i right in my argument and what can i do?
SORRY its alittle long.....
asked what impedence and he replied
"its a dual 2ohm and no the basket is black."
he shipped it out 4 days later
once i got it and say it i sent him this
"
The subwoofer i recieved today is WRONG
the coils read 4.0 and 3.9 on the other, you told me it was dual 2. In fact they don't even make a dual 4 so i have no idea what i recieved. First of it was packaged poorly considering the weight and contents.
Also the top assembley was loose, the cone was dented, the coil was dirty, the magnet is chipped in several places along the bottom, and one of the posts on the side is about to fall off its so loose.
PLEASE CONTACT ME REGARDING SAID ISSUES

he didnt respond so i sent this the next day
Confirmed that the motor is from a tc9, one of the most common basic ones used. Also the post can't be repaired without removing the cone which is an issue b/c the impedence changes if the post moves. As is, the dual 4 ohm voice coils are completley useless to be b/c the amp i have is set for 1 ohm performance, and a dual 4 ohm woofer can't be wired to that impedence.
I won't give feedback until the issues have been addressed.
Please respond so this issue can be corrected.

the sub is what it is. tc sounds went out of business years back i bought the sub from a robotunder ground off ebay. i was told it was a dual 2 ohm secondly i never used the sub bought it and had it for a few weeks then re sold. if you feel the sub has been damaged here is a usps insurance number. 1307 3410 0000 6822 6641. i listed the sub exactally as i bought it. and shipped in the in box i received it in. i dont know what else to say. i am sorry for you un-happyness i want to resolve issue. thanks and keep me posted...sorry if i dont respond right away i am in the army and as an infatry solier we train many nights a week and stay in the feild so my computer access can be limited...
my reply
Just because you never used it doesn't mean you can say the condition is new. The sub has wear on the inside which couldn't occur from shipping and also there were no chips in the box from the magnet so it had to be put in there like that. Also you saying "it is what it is" pisses me off b/c you don't even know what you were selling. I recieved a one off sub which is useless to me. Basically since you claimed it to be a new sub and stated it was a dual 2 ohm model means you misrepresented the item and i therefore hold no responsibility for the wrongdoing. You being a member of the army means you live by a strict code of morals. And i hope you realize your mistake in the misrepresentation of the subwoofer. Hopefully you decide to act upon this before i am forced to file a paypal claim for misrepresentation of goods, to correct this situation.

hey, its a tc3000k and it was sold to me as new.. and i didnt use it so it is what it is. and you already bought it after you asked the impedieance.. secondly do not bring the military into this.. my service to the country has nothing to do with this. i have devoted years of my life in that ****ing desert and given all i can. i do live by a strick code recognized that i volunteeres as a ranger fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession.....never shall i fail my commrades... and this has to do with neither. also in the standing orders rodgers rangers. "tell the truth about what you see and what you do. there is an army depending on us for correct information. you can lie all you please when you tell other folks about the Rangers, but dont lie to a ranger of officer. and once again you neither.. so please dont bring the military into this. lastly do all you want for paypal bc i have shippment proof and insurance proof and you got what you bidon.. knowing tc sounds went out of business years ago means the item had to have been years old even at best.. you didnt know what you were buying is the problem.. i dont like to be like that but when people threaten me i dont take to that or work with that.... i dont need your measly 200 dollars or would try to scam you for it...
and lastly my reply today
I didn't say you scammed me, I appologize.
All i said was that you misrepresented it in the auction. Its hard for you to say i didn't know what I was buying when you didn't know what you were selling.I was told the wrong information reguarding the sub. And made my decision to bid based the lack thereof. Just because the sub is old doesn't mean that its alright for it to be abused. Once again, i don't mean to offend, or come across negatively, but due to your failure to accuretly depict the subwoofer for what it is doesn't mean that i am at fault. My basis for the claim would be 1) The magnet "bottom piece" is not a Tc3000 magnet "motor" it is one from a Tc9 subwoofer. 2) the cone is dented eventhough it had padding over it, a small "puncture shaped" dent; which couldn't have occured inide the box. 3) one side post is extremley loose and can only be repaired by removing the cone, thus needing a full replacement therefore the "new" status is void.
Hopefully we can resolve this- Jimmy
SORRY FOR THE LENGTH BUT I AM CORRECT ARN't I?????
Thank you-Jimmy
