Drill Baby Drill!!
Ok so im going to try my first areo ported box tomorrow, few questions.

1.Before all displacement i have 4.06cu after i add sub displacement im around 3.9, I have a 6" areo and i want the tunning around 32hz.

I tried running the numbers threw psp port calc and i got a length of 15.69" so a port displacement of .26cu? Bringing me down to 3.63 or is it a length of 17.17(when i enter the vol as 3.63)?

2.around how many sqin of port space is a 6" areo?

1- I believe the psp calc determines by NET volume, so it would be after port displacement. You will have to find the balance so that both come out right.

2- Port area is pi(3.14) x radius^2

Take the enclosure size, subtract sub displacement, and relative port displacement.

Take that cubic foot number, plug it into the calculator with a 6" aero and thats the length you need for that size enclosure.

Your gonna be at about 3.6~3.65 cube, one 6" aero is about 28.xxx sqin, it will need to be 17" long for a 32hz tuning.

Thats after all displacements

To factor the port displacement, just get a port length thats close, and multiply by the port area (pi x radius^2). Then divide by 1728 to convert to cubic feet. Subtract that and sub displacement and there ya go //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
