They cut off the ears and tails to dogs...people get tattoos, people pierce ears, nose, eyebrow, etc.

you only emphasize my point.

First off cutting off parts of dogs is also weird and wrong. In fact cropping ears is illegal in many parts of Europe. Furthermore the other examples you provide are done voluntarily by the individual, with a conscious choice.

THis is not the case with the vast majority of circumcision or ear/tail cropping.
