I think we can ALL agree that we don't really know how we would react unless we were in fact put into that situation. Like I said before, if they're expecting me to look the other way then they're asking me to break the law as well. No way I'm going to jail for someone who could care less about my well being.
heh im pretty sure i know how i would act..unless it was like murder or anything sick with kids..i would look the other way. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Not me. Thats just me. Don't get me wrong I'm all about putting one over on the man but eventually we all have to grow up. I hate cops but that doesn't mean breaking the law is right in my eyes either.

my answer should have been i would choose what ever option would benefit me the most. If it would be more self serving to snitch them out i would..if nto then i woudlnt //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

1. Depends on how "Badly" they were doing it... if it was caught early then stop them and keep a close look at them

2. Insurance Fraud

No

3. Selling drugs

No... but if they dont stop ill tell them Ill notify another co-worker to bust them cause i couldnt be able to do it

4. Robbery

No/yes depends on how much and how bad

5. Murderer

Deffense? no. On purpose... yes

Report or no:
1. Identity Theft

2. Insurance Fraud

3. Selling drugs

4. Robbery

5. Murdere
1. Depends on the deffinition of "identity theft." If he is using someone's SS number and taking out loans under another name to pay for a house and such...yes I 'd report it. If he purchased something with a credit card other than his own...probably not, most cards have security features now and it wouldn't screw with the individual taken advantage of.

2. Again depends, but in all likelyhood, no. Insurance companies have the nerve to increase our premiums when we actually use the service we're investing in...they are bloodsucking vultures that need to die.

3. Depends on the drug and the amount. If they're selling pot/shrooms to their peers, never. If they're dealing massive amounts of coke/heroin, I'd really have to consider it.

4. Robbery is such a broad category. If they're shoplifting candy and pop, or clothes, shoes, etc. then no. If they are sticking up a bank at gun point, you bet your *** I'd turn them in.

5. Yes

1. I'd give him/her 2 days to make things right or in jail you go....family or not. I know someone who has been a victim of identity theft and 2 years later he is still having credit problems because of it.
Agreed. A lot of people consider Identity Theft to be a "petty crime"....but it's not. It is seriously, seriously damaging to the victim and results in years and years of struggles and headaches to try and correct what damage was done.

Anyways...I voted neutral, simply due to the fact that I know of police in my home town who have taken part in "petty" crimes themselves. They were victimless crimes, nobody was harmed (mentally, physically, etc), nobody out of any money, etc. And these events/actions in no way affected their on-duty performance.
