Thanks for the replies. I was thinking that they werent going to be something worth buying but it seems like someone on here had said that they wern't that bad. I think hees going to save up and get one decent sub instead of two lesser ones. Thanks again.
HAHH THATS BS ...
Ok.. I got a nice system , but in my collection of subwoofers.. I have
2 lightening audio..
2 of those DuraBand walmart subs.
1 Orion XTR
2 Orion XTR 2 series
2 Orion Xtr 3 series
1 Orion HCCA (old school)
2 Orion P series (discontinued) (currently installed).
2 Kicker Comp Cvr 12's(still in bandpass box).
I dunno... I fkn collect anything that makes noise and irritates people that you put in your car (subwoofers). LOL
I also like to experiment with this cheapy wal-mart SPL meter. What me and my cousins do practically ever 3rd or 4th weekend is build boxes for them. Its a ritual get drunk, select from 13 amplifiers that we have and hook a new system up to try out. We use the spl meter just to test responce even though its not super accurate it's fun to do.
You would be very supprised what those wal-mart Dura Brand subwoofers will output in the same bandpass box the Kicker Comp cvr 12's are in.
I really couldnt tell much difference and this gives me the right to argue this matter.
Now the CVR's do get louder, but hey.. the cost more and take more power..
For 25$ You have a choice at wal-mart of either the durabrand subwoofer or the lightening audio 10" subwoofer.
I would choose that durabrand 12" over the Lightening audio any day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I have a pair of both LOL.
Cheap subs sound good too.. dont let people steer you wrong.. you are in a forum where people in here spend thousands of dollars on stuff and wouldnt take a second look at a cheap sub.
Otherwise go to a pawn shop and hope for the best //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I would do a Durabrand subwoofer over a sony any day of the week LOL.
