Are they worth it??

Me and my friend were at Wal-Mart tonight and they have the durabrand subs on sale for $25. He doesnt have very much money right now and just wants a little bass. Not looking to get real loud or anything and he doesnt know what SQ is so thats not a worry. My question is do you guys think that these subs are worth the 25 bucks or should he look on ebay and try to find something different? Thanks
