Are these old amps any good?

Heck yeah...those are a nice find. Some of the older amps are under rated too.

I think that early Fultron amp is the early release of the famous Memphis Big Belle 5 ch amp.

That Fultron design reminds me of the Soundstream amps.....wonder who copied who.

did fultron become memphis then? that I did not know, thanks! when I first saw it I thought it was a soundstream (only saw the terminal side)

What ever happened with your $50k tahoe audio plans???

Wouldn't expect that you would buy an old Sony amp and then ask if you got a good deal on them. Didn't think you'd buy old stuff cheap and care if your money was well spent..

Tahoe is in paint currently. Suspension is done, rims are getting powdercoated. After the REDICULOUS amount of nonsense that thread generated, i didnt care to update the thread. Its obvious the thread was going nowhere good, bunch of children making $10/hr complaining about how i spent my play money. You, offered some decent advice, iirc. You're welcome. I'd like to see the finished product when you're done. You should make a legitimate build log. What gear did you decide on?

actually, atomic apxx, quad alts. power still undecided.

Hell yes both those are some good old school amps..Wernt CREAM OF THE CROP Like Zeds,and others, but worthy amps.That Sony is one little Bad azz amp..50x2 @11.6 v more than likely,and should shell out more like 70+ easily @13.v and clean as hell..That Fultron is a nice amp as well..Fultron was first and Memphis and SStream were making amps about the same era..If they work, Id deff not be ashamed running them in my system..Prob cleaner and less TDH than most newer amps

Thank you iactually dont care for zed amps, but i understand what youre saying. They do work fine, but i dont intend to use em, just collect! Im currently running a chrome power 500.2. And chrome pc4200.

ya, George at atomic has been SUPER awesome to deal with. I mean that. they have a bad rep I know, but my dealings with him have been STELLAR. they did make one mistake so far. I got two recones, and the cones were slightly different (if you didn't know, atomic recones come with the cone unattached) I emailed asking for the correct cone, even willing to pay for it, and instead, he built me a whole new recone, told me to keep the "off" one, and then offered me a used motor to match for the an AMAZING price. love the guy. he's great.
