are these boxes worth buying?

Eh....they seem prefabbed.....which 9 times out of 10, are crap. What exactly do you need/need help with?!?!?

V.
i dont need help. i just wanta know what you think.

would you buy one if you were just getting into car audio ? why

You see, the problem with pre-fabricated boxes isn't that their build quality is horrible. Sometimes it is, but it's kind of hard to mess up a box. 6 sides crammed together isn't hard.

They mess up with the port (tuning of it, rather), and often times they aren't custom made for your sub, so, it could sound bad.

They're crap because they're generic and not designed for your specific preferences or subwoofers. That and they're likely relatively crappily constructed

You're in roseville? I'm over in granite bay

your best bet will always be to build a box specifically for your sub, meaning that it has proper internal volume, tuning, etc... you wont get all you can out of any sub unless the box is built according to the specs of the sub... save your money and have one built by someone who does good work like vitveet...

do you make each box sub specific? or are all your single 12" ported sub boxes the same (just for an example)?
each enclosure i design and build is custom for the customers equipment, most music played, vehical, amp power, spl or sq. every enclosure is different cause not every customer has the same sub/subs, listen to the same kinda music, or have the same kinda car, truck or suv.

If they are selling a "GroundShaker" dual sealed 12 enclosure for$49 that is a steal. That is what they have a picture of.

Woofers etc sells them and they are not crap.

As long as you know the volume and your woofer

accordingly is optimal in that sized enclosure.

Now ported boxes is another story, custom is way better.

i agree groundshaker sealed prefabs are ok as long as the internal volume is right.

now there add says these boxes are "cuztom made @ concord auto".....huh .

who makes the box above to the left of the "groundshaker" ? its a different logo. who makes "groundshaker" enclosures? wooferetc? something doesnt add up. i post pictures of enclosures i have designed and made, not someone elses boxes.
