Are these amplifier settings correct ? (pictures included).

Did the RCA to Aux and got the same results.

Going to get a good installer to replace the ground and speaker wire.

I did notice that the ground wire is secure but not very tight (I can rotate it if I pull it). I think this might be part of the problem although I've heard bad grounds usually cause the amp to shut off or heat up (haven't had those two issues)

My honda only had a 70A alternator and has an electric load detector that keeps the alt voltage low to save on gas. As a result I had to buy an alternator to up the amps and to bypass the load detector or there would of been no way I could of done much with stock.
The person who installed the monoblock/built the box actually knew how to set the gain/crossover. The problem was I got someone else to do the front speakers and it looks like that was a bad idea.

I have a PPI 900.4 laying around so I'll hook it up later this week to see if I can rule out malfunctioned amp as the issue.
70 amp alternator?? good grief, i thought my stock one was bad at 105!! Yeah man, dont make the same mistake i did and basically choke out your amplifiers!! Its a road of misery and expense. Youre gonna want headroom in your alt, just like anything else

if you can get to the underside of the sheetmetal where the ground is mounted (or anyplace thats concealable really) you can drill a hole, go to ace hardware and get a bolt just barely maller than the opening of your o-ring terminal and a nut and secure it to the sheetmetal of your car with some wrenches. But if you want a better method, putting the same bolt in from the bottom of the sheetmetal and having it welded in place from underneath is a better option, if not totally ideal

2nd, unrelated to your main issue, for sound quality wise I would not use that soundqubed amp and actually use the PPI 900.4 bridged for 2 channel mode with rca splitters. A lot more clean power.
Not to thread jack OP, but that is not what I wanted to hear. I just picked up a SQ'd Q1-1200.2 and a Q4-90 amp for my install based on recommendations. Should I get something else? The 1200 will be pushing an SSA Icon 12 and the 90 for my stock Harmon Kardon ( for now) door speakers in my BMW 435i. Thanks for any feedback..

no, you're fine. very unlikely for it to sound bad. make sure to put time into running proper wiring connections and putting in sound damping.

A LOT of people run those amps, jeff is partially saying that because of the headroom of the ppi vs the soundqubed amp

if you can still return the sq go ahead, basically f it because the ppi's are sooooo cheap for the power..BUT you must set the PPI clean with an oscope it will blow your mids well before you hear it

his soundqubed amp is a 2 channel at 4 ohms its only 150 watts per side while the ppi is a 4 channel and when you bridge it, you get 450 watts per side.

Your soundqubed is a 4 channel as well, you can bridge it and get 260(underrated) watts per side

mine moved too drilled hole through the solid piece of ring and added 2nd screw..

Turns out the issue was the speakers themselves which *****, i really liked the GZ 650SQ

Installer put my old speakers back in (JBL MS-62C) and all the issues went away.

JBL set is good but the reason I changed it originally is because I hated the tweeter. Its fairly harsh at higher volumes, lots of people who ran the set had to set the crossover to -3db as a result.

Going to see if I can keep the crossover box/mid and just replace the tweeter with something silk like I was running with the GZ 650SQ
