I went from an Alpine headunit to a Sony, and the connectors are completly different. rather than splicing all the wires I'de rather buy some kind of an adapter, one that I can simply plug my old Alpine one into my new Sony one with. Are there such products out there? Or will I have to splice and sodder all the new wires?

uhh...unless you cut off your stock harness plug, all you need to do is unplug your sony harness, plug in your alpine harness, and wire the alpine harness to the alpine headunit's tail.

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
