Are there good 8" SQ Woofers?

Check with mavster I was looking for 8's last week and he had a couple of critical mass ss82's for a good price. I just got off the phone with audiopulse and got hooked up with an epic 8. There last one for now.

Look i posted outside of the lounge!!
LOL.

I have two 8w7 under the back seat of my Titan ported and I love em. I got my shopping around the forum, dont believe I would have paid retail for them though. Take a look at DD, I have heard good things about their 8's.

Rainbows are too much. Also I am having a hard time finding a spec sheet/graph for the CDT HD8. I am just worried some of these won't go low enough. If I can't find a good 8 that will go low and smooth I think its IDQ10.

Why don't sites put the freq response graphs up, its so annoying. CDT has great info on their entire line but can't find any sub graphs. Same with Rainbow and ARC.

I found a JL 500/1 locally for not too much so I can get more power if needed.

I'm working on digging up graphs & T/S parameters for you.

I'm seeing a few posts in here recommending subs not really meant for SQ...stuff like DD and Kicker. It should be noted that a 12W6V2 was considered too boomy for the OP. DD and Kicker is not gonna cut it if a W6 won't. DD and Kicker are SPL-designed subs...no way around it.

Chris how much is the 500/1 that you're looking at?

Looks like 225 is as low as he will go brand new.

I paid 160 for my 250/1 and my roommate already said he would buy it off me so I don't have to worry about getting rid of it if need be.

Also I'm still waiting on a price from that CDT dealer for the CDT SQHD8"

this post is not about me by the way. i must make sure this is noted for MAP concerns. this refers to another CDT dealer. i currently am referring to other dealers as i undergo renovations.

Yeah I am thinking it was not the best box for the job. I don't have the specs on hand but it was by a person that usually does a good job for matching factory specs.

Either way I need to get rid of it because it is too big. And I have heard that the IDQ10 is better than a 10w6v2 so it doesn't matter too much now anyway.
